Neolithic

So far we have discovered several Pottery Neolithic sites, but not found any older Neolithic deposits.

Two of the sites, Tell Ezou and Tell Marj, were excavated in 2008. The former has levels with badly-preserved architecture, while at the latter site straight stone walls have been uncovered. Tell Marj displays clear parallels with the Neolithic at Byblos.
